The room was tidy on arrival and cleaned daily, the breakfast although not exceptional was very acceptable and started the day off well. Some of the staff there were very helpful. The position of the hotel was perfect for touring around london with the tube stations near by and hyde park and oxford street shops a mere walk away. There's and indian restaurant up the road that is awesome!
The room doors had a tendency to slam and make a loud noise which on occasion woke us up early in the morning with other people getting up earlier than us, its a bit annoying but nothing major. There are other noticeable things but baring in the mind the price it is nothing you would not expect, the staircases were a bit dodgy, the decor a bit old, the wireless internet didn't reach our room but there is a good reception and comfy seats in the reception area, however none of this detracted from our stay there, it is what you expect from a cheaper end hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay there and would go again.
Location was excellent for Paddington Station and Underground Network. nb This was the only thing good about this hotel!
Although the Reception was 24 hours there is only one member of staff. if they are busy in other areas of the hotel it is not guaranteed that you can get in. We were left outside for 25 mins not sure what to do at 23.30hrs. The quality was poor - Crack in sink, shower not clean, no hairdryer or tea/coffee facitilies, bathroom door didnt stay shut, cleanliness of catering staff questionable!
to increase the size of the room and to put more than one cupboard and hangers in a room for 4 persons
The desk personnel tried to respond to any needs we directed to them, however, a prior booking of many guests precluded our receiving a room that was more reflective of what is shown on their web.
The breakfast included with the room was spartan, at best. The wi-fi connection did not work well in rooms - had to take the laptop to the desk area to get/maintain a connection. The rooms next to the lift were definitely a drawback as the noise level was not acceptable.
There was one guy at reception who was nice. The bed got made each day.
This is a horrible shabby little hotel with horrible people running it. The room is tiny and the bed is old and small. The rate includes breakfast but don't expect much, the rude lady who runs it basically throws down a tiny meal, one morning I got one fried egg, one piece of bacon, one mouthfull of baked beans and some toast. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.
The price was too much high, and the food wasn´t varied
Was good basic hotel accommodation which suited our needs! We stayed two nights here as a group for the wireless festival. Location was perfect for us.
Some of the staff were extremely helpful and nice, some were not.. The location within a walking distance from the Paddington railway station and Hyde Park is certainly a good thing.
The room was EXTREMELY small, and fell to pieces: top part of the window fell 2 cm open and was "repaired" using pieces of cardboard; toilet seat came loose; reading lamp died...
the hotel was ok, in a good location, next to paddington
i was expecting something more for that price
The service was bad from the very moment we enter the hotel, staff was rude. Picture is not as shown on the website, whole room was hot, dirty and noisy. Even the door could not be locked. Checked in for only 5 minutes and then checked out, which they charged me for a night. Would prefer to spend a little bit more than staying in this lousy place. Would definitely not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. Total utter waste of money or even time to look at this hotel.
